2024 NBA Draft: Johnny Furphy and Kyle Filipowski highlight best available college players following night 1

Atlantic Time News

The first round of the NBA Draft provided plenty of surprises on Wednesday night. As usual, some players went higher than expected – like Purdue big man Zach Edey (Memphis) — and some slid (like Tennessee wing Dalton Knecht to the Lakers). While other picks, like Weber State's Dillon Jones (Oklahoma City), just came out to be taken in the first round.

For the most part, though, the players who were expected to go in the first round went in the first round, except for two notable exceptions. An invite to the green room usually means a player is going to go in the first round, but Kansas forward Johnny Furphy and Duke big man Kyle Filipowski both went undrafted on night one.
